Job summary

GeoEngineers in Seattle, WA seeks an Associate Geotechnical Engineer who will be a technical expert and project leader on geotechnical projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable completion.

You will lead seismic design, liquefaction evaluations, and nonlinear deformation studies, mentor staff, and develop client relationships while representing the firm in proposals and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 10 years of related professional experience, including 8 years of project management experience and 2 years leading others.
• P.E. license required.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with geotechnical, seismic, and performance-based design.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safe work practices and site safety plans.
• Assumes final responsibility for technical accuracy and project completion.
• Serves as senior technical expert in geotechnical and performance-based design.
• Develops field, analytical, numerical modeling, and project management skills.
• Manages scope, schedule, budgeting, and billing for projects.
• Leads proposals and client presentations.
• Develops and maintains client relationships and identifies new opportunities.
