Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Seattle to lead high‑impact geotechnical and performance‑based design projects. You will mentor a team and collaborate with partners to deliver innovative solutions for complex challenges.

You will own activities from conceptual modeling through project scheduling, reporting, and client relations, coordinating subsurface exploration and construction observation as needed. Seattle/Redmond/San Diego offices supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• 6+ years of experience with dynamic numerical modeling or related professional experience.
• PE license required.
• Strong proficiency with FLAC, PLAXIS, and related tools.
• Experience evaluating seismic hazards.
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads project management activities, including budgets, scopes, billings, and proposals.
• Serves as a senior technical resource in numerical modeling and nonlinear deformation analysis.
• Develops advanced conceptual and numerical models including liquefaction analyses.
• Reviews deliverables and provides direction to ensure high-quality work.
• Mentors junior staff and supports technical skill development.
• Participates in business development and client relationship management.
• Leads subsurface exploration programs and coordinates field activities.
• Prepares high-quality technical reports, figures, and tables.
