Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Associate Geoscientist 2 in Houston, TX to lead routine field investigations and related technical work. You will monitor-well installation, collect soil and groundwater samples, and coordinate data and reports for project teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of geoscience experience, ability to work with limited guidance, and effective communication with clients and laboratories. On-site field work and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related field and 2–4 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated technical competence in geoscience field investigations including soil borings, monitoring-well installation, lithologic logging, soil and groundwater sampling, and field documentation.
• Ability to plan, perform, and lead routine field activities with limited senior-staff guidance and provide task-level directions to junior staff.
• Ability to support field safety requirements, perform low-risk EHS activities, provide basic site orientations, and address hazards with project and EHS leadership.
• Ability to prepare and lead portions of technical deliverables, correlate information, incorporate senior review comments, and maintain organized project records.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and stakeholders, anticipate routine project needs, communicate status, and elevate complex matters.

Aufgaben

• Plan and lead routine field activities, including field documentation, lithologic logging, soil and groundwater sampling, and monitoring-well installation.
• Organize and evaluate project data, perform quality reviews, and coordinate laboratory analyses.
• Prepare and lead assigned portions of technical reports, figures, maps, and cross sections.
• Develop technical deliverables with references and senior review.
• Ensure work complies with project specs, SOPs, scope, and quality standards; maintain auditable records.
• Communicate risks, delays, and deviations to project leadership.
• Provide basic oversight of subcontractor activities and address routine concerns.
• Support field safety requirements and conduct basic site orientations and safety reviews.
