Job summary

Base is America’s next-generation power company seeking an Associate General Counsel to shape a lean legal function and advise on commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, as the business scales.

You will partner with internal teams to identify legal risks, negotiate MSAs, NDAs, and real estate leases, and help build scalable legal frameworks across cybersecurity, employment, and corporate transactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience with a strong transactional focus.
• Experience in energy, utilities, or technology sectors is preferred but not required.
• Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to negotiate and close partnership deals, vendor agreements, and real estate and facility leases for a scaling manufacturing org.
• Lead the review and negotiation of commercial contracts, MSAs, NDAs, and other business agreements with favorable terms and well-managed risks.
• Develop company-wide practices to mitigate legal risk across cybersecurity, employment and labor law, and consumer protection.
• Build scalable, business-centric legal frameworks that give the company flexibility and speed to operate and grow.
• Provide legal support across corporate transactions, including fundraising activities, tax equity, and project and asset financings.
