Job summary

Sunrock Distributed Generation is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel with 4–15 years in the solar industry to support our growing DG solar business. You will draft and negotiate project documents, tax equity facilities, and M&A work while working closely with development and finance teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects across PPA, EPC, O&M, REC, and tax

Qualifications

• 4–15 years of legal experience in solar or renewable energy.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across PPAs, EPCs, O&M, and related contracts.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with project financing and tax equity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting and negotiation of PPAs, EPCs, O&M, and procurement contracts.
• Manage tax equity facilities documents and tax credit transfers.
• Support project acquisitions and sales with cross-functional teams.
• Advise on FERC, state regulations, interconnection and incentives.
• Oversee risk management and dispute avoidance in project contracts.
• Provide corporate and commercial guidance on JV, governance, and structuring.
