Job summary

Viridan Group is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join a growing solar + storage platform operating across the United States. You will lead drafting and negotiation of project agreements and partner with development and finance teams on execution, acquisitions, and financing.

The role is remote and reports to the General Counsel, requiring 6+ years in renewable energy law and a track record in PPAs, EPCs, and project contracting. In-house or law firm energy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience in renewable energy, preferably with a focus on solar + storage.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across PPAs, EPCs, O&M, and other project contracts.
• Experience supporting project acquisitions, tax equity, and project financing.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting and negotiation of key project agreements (PPAs, EPCs, O&M) and other project contracts.
• Partner with development and finance teams on project execution, acquisitions, and financing.
• Advise on regulatory, real estate, and permitting matters as needed.

Viridan Group is partnered with a growing solar + storage platform that develops, finances, and operates commercial solar and storage projects across the U.S., backed by a well-capitalized infrastructure investor. They are looking to hire an Associate General Counsel with 6+ years of legal experience in the renewable energy industry. Specifically, this individual will lead drafting and negotiation of key project agreements, partnering with development and finance teams on project execution, acquisitions, and financing while advising on regulatory, real estate, and permitting matters.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience in the renewable energy, preferably with a focus on solar + storage
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across PPAs, EPCs, O&M, and other project contracts
• Experience supporting project acquisitions, tax equity, and project financing
• In-house experience at a renewable energy company and/or law firm energy transactions experience preferred
• This role is remote, reporting to the General Counsel
