Larson Maddox is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its growing legal team in a hybrid environment. The role focuses on advising the business on regulatory, operational, and strategic matters across investment management, financial markets, and technology.

You will engage with senior leadership, handle complex matters for investment advisers, private funds, and trading activities, and help shape governance and risk programs in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• Approximately 8+ years of relevant legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders on regulatory, operational, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide guidance on legal and regulatory matters impacting investment advisers, private funds, trading activities, and financial markets.
• Advise on issues arising at the intersection of technology and financial services, including emerging products, systems, and business initiatives.
• Partner with Compliance, Technology, Finance, Investor Relations, and senior management teams to identify and mitigate legal and business risks.
• Support the development and implementation of internal policies, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
• Participate in business and product development discussions, providing practical legal guidance to support growth objectives.
• Assist with regulatory examinations, inquiries, investigations, and other legal matters as needed.
• Collaborate with legal colleagues on a wide range of investment management and corporate legal matters.
