Job summary

Slash is seeking an Associate General Counsel to build the legal foundation as we scale. You will report to the General Counsel and collaborate with the leadership team, including the founders.

You’ll advise across product, commercial, and regulatory areas, drive new product launches, draft and negotiate critical agreements, and structure strategic relationships with banks and fintech partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in law firms, in-house, or government.
• Generalist skillset across commercial, regulatory, and product-related work.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, or high-growth tech companies.
• Excellent judgment balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Clear and concise communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• High ownership mindset and ability to move fast.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal matters across product, commercial, and regulatory.
• Support development and launch of new financial products and features.
• Draft, review, and negotiate key partnerships, vendors, and customers.
• Structure and execute strategic relationships with banks and fintech partners.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations on regulatory strategy.
• Build internal processes, templates, and scalable frameworks.
• Identify regulatory risk and propose practical paths forward.
• Manage external counsel as needed.
