Job summary

Carrot in Ashburn, VA seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel, Regulatory to lead ERISA and employee benefits compliance and advise on ACA, COBRA and HIPAA.

The role negotiates BAAs, reviews benefit plan documents, and provides strategic guidance on state and federal tax issues and evolving reproductive care regulations. This is a senior, entrepreneurial legal position with a strong impact on product development and regulatory risk management.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 5–8+ years of legal experience with a significant focus on ERISA/employee benefits law.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERISA and employee benefits attorney; advise on ERISA, ACA, COBRA and HIPAA compliance.
• Negotiate BAAs and review benefit plan documents.
• Provide strategic guidance on new product offerings, state/federal taxation and reproductive care regulations.
