Qualifications

• Law degree required and strong research/writing skills.
• Minimum 4 years at a law firm in health and welfare benefits or 8 years in ERISA with compliance focus.
• Service-oriented attitude with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Strong written and oral communication, with solid project and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt compliance and technical support on ERISA, ACA, IRC for welfare benefit plans, in layman's terms.
• Research and prepare Compliance Alerts, Employer Guides and internal training materials.
• Manage complex compliance assignments and government filings.
• Prepare and present webcasts and live ERISA topics clearly and concisely.
• Build strong relationships with internal associates, partners and clients.
• Contribute to proactive, strategic guidance for clients and participate in meetings to assess needs.
• Stay current on developments to maintain technical expertise.
