Job summary

Mission Lane seeks an Associate General Counsel to own legal support for the Finance team and our capital markets and securitization program, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel.

You’ll lead on ABS transactions, debt and structured deals, and M&A; draft and negotiate complex corporate agreements; support IPO readiness and SEC reporting; manage outside counsel; monitor developments; and assist with governance and board resolutions.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active state bar membership in the U.S.
• 5+ years of law firm experience or 7+ years in-house with complex corporate negotiations
• Experience supporting SEC reporting obligations (10-K/10-Q/8-K, proxies) and disclosure rules
• Strong analytical, writing and cross-functional communication skills
• Ability to work independently with strong organization and judgment
• Remote work capability with periodic travel for team events

Responsibilities

• Serve as legal lead on ABS transactions, debt and structured debt deals, and M&A
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and contracts with banks and vendors
• Support IPO readiness projects and SEC reporting processes
• Manage outside counsel for Capital Markets and Finance matters cost-effectively
• Track legal developments and flag potential impacts early
• Support corporate governance activities including board/committee prep
