Job summary

Manifest OS in New York seeks an Associate General Counsel to wear many hats across privacy, AI regulation, ethics, and commercial contracts. You’ll shape how the company handles risk and compliance while partnering with product, engineering, and operations to embed governance into workflows.

You’ll draft contracts, review vendor and customer agreements, advise on immigration and sponsorship, and experiment with AI tools to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years practicing law, ideally with in-house or GC experience.
• Experience in legal ethics, employment law, commercial and SAAS contracts.
• Experience handling visa petitions, sponsorships, and hiring global talent.
• Knowledge of AI and privacy law (GDPR/CCPA/CPRA) and evolving AI regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy and AI compliance, translating requirements into practical guidance.
• Review vendor contracts, customer agreements, and partnerships; support M&A or fundraising.
• Partner with product, engineering and operations to embed compliance into workflows.
• Experiment with AI tools to improve how the legal team works and builds knowledge bases.
