Job summary

Loop Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel or Associate General Counsel to serve as a broad legal partner across commercial contracting, privacy and AI, payments and regulatory, employment, governance, and disputes.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will build templates, playbooks, and processes to enable a scalable, fast-moving legal function. This is an in-person role based in one of our US offices (New York, Chicago or San Francisco), with the expectation of being onsite 4 days per week.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and admission in good standing in at least one US state bar.
• 6+ years of legal experience, with foundation of rigorous training at a law firm and/or in-house legal department; Associate General Counsel level typically 8+ years.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements (customers, vendors, data providers, platforms, contractors).
• Exposure across multiple practice areas - M&A, corporate, commercial, privacy and data, employment, or litigation - and willingness to deepen in new areas.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including customer, vendor, partnership, technology, SaaS, and data agreements, NDAs, DPAs, and terms of service.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify and manage legal risk and devise solutions that advance the company's interests.
• Advise Product and Engineering on privacy, data rights, regulatory compliance, and legal risk in product development; review features to pre-empt issues.
