Job summary

Boly-Welch Inc., a well-known Oregon nonprofit, seeks an Associate General Counsel to join our in-house team and help manage risk across the organization.

You will work closely with the General Counsel on matters spanning employment, transactional, and real estate law, shaping legal strategy while advancing the mission of the nonprofit. An in-office role with work-life balance is offered, with potential for loan forgiveness based on organization policies.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interest in employment law and a passion for the local community.
• Oregon State Bar membership is required.
• Juris Doctor degree (JD) required.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the General Counsel, and your primary focus will be risk mitigation. Because of the size and scope of this organization, no two days will ever be the same. You’ll be exposed to various areas of law with an emphasis on employment, transactional, and real estate law. While experience in one of these areas of law is helpful, this organization will consider candidates of many backgrounds. Comfort engaging with a wide variety of people and alignment with the organization’s mission will be most important.
