Job summary

The Portland office of a best-in-class national firm is expanding a specialized practice group, seeking a Special Litigation, Investigations, and Compliance Associate. You’ll work on regulatory and compliance matters across healthcare, government agencies, international trade, energy, transportation, insurance, and politics.

Strong research, writing, and public speaking skills are essential for high-pressure litigation. The team emphasizes development and a path to partnership.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in state, federal, and appellate courts.
• Oregon State Bar membership.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hybrid Portland office as part of a national firm’s special litigation group.
• Conduct complex regulatory and compliance research and writing.
• Prepare for high-pressure litigation with strong advocacy.
• Contribute to business development and path to partnership.

Your New Role

The Portland office of this best-in-class national firm is expanding a specialized practice group, and they're in the market for a Special Litigation, Investigations, and Compliance Associate.

In this role, you'll need knowledge of or interest in a regulatory and compliance law relating to healthcare, government agencies, international trade, the energy sector, transportation, insurance, and politics and elections. Strong research and writing skills will be critical. You'll also need to be comfortable with public speaking and high-pressure litigation.

The team is known to be supportive and welcoming, and the firm prioritizes the professional development and long-term success of their attorneys. They're looking for an attorney committed to building their practice at the firm and interested in a path to eventual partnership.

After an in-office training period, you'll have a hybrid schedule.
