Job summary

Empath Health seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across a mission-driven healthcare organization. The role reports to senior leadership and covers regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters with a focus on risk management.

This is a remote position with periodic travel of 4-6 times per year. Florida Bar membership is preferred, or eligibility for Florida Authorized House Counsel status.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Florida Bar membership preferred or eligible for Florida Authorized House Counsel status.
• Significant experience practicing healthcare law in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory, compliance, contracting, and corporate matters.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel 4-6 times annually.

Empath Health is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and trusted counsel across a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role advises on healthcare regulatory matters, corporate transactions, compliance initiatives, operational issues, and risk management strategies. The Associate General Counsel will collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to support business objectives while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

This is a remote position with occasional travel required approximately 4-6 times per year. While Florida Bar membership is preferred, qualified candidates licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction who are eligible to obtain Florida Authorized House Counsel status are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Need
