Qualifications

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar is required.
• Experience with foreclosure process and real estate law is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong research and drafting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures.
• Comprehensive review of conditions precedent to filing, including review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
• Draft and review legal documents, pleadings and correspondence to initiate and maintain foreclosure actions.
• Research and analysis of applicable statutes, case law, regulatory, and servicing requirements.
• Legal research and writing.
• Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Ensure all internal client systems are reviewed and updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations.
• Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Prioritize and perform a high volume of work to meet firm, client, investor, and court deadlines.
• Utilize firm and client systems to ensure all applicable deadlines are met.
• Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
