Job summary

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in Columbus, OH seeks an Associate Financial Analyst to support external financial reporting, including SEC filings, footnotes and MD&A.

You will work closely with the Assistant and Corporate Controller and senior leaders while handling stock-based compensation forecasting and investor-focused schedules. The role offers exposure to audits, technical accounting research, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy) including statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL tagging
• Gather, organize and evaluate source documentation for disclosures
• Assist with stock-based compensation expense and weighted average share calculations
• Prepare investor presentations and schedules supporting earnings releases
• Coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews
• Conduct technical accounting and financial research and document conclusions
• Collaborate with departments to improve financial reporting processes
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports for senior management and investor relations
• Maintain internal control environment and disclosure controls and procedures

Job description

The Associate Financial Analyst will play an integral part in Abercrombie's external financial reporting process. The Associate Financial Analyst will also have direct exposure to the company's Assistant and Corporate Controller, as well as other business leaders throughout the organization. Natural career progression to other accounting and finance roles within the finance team is possible after proven success in the role.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Preparing SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy), including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL tagging
• Gather, organize and evaluate source documentation to ensure the accuracy of all public disclosures.
• Assist with the accounting and forecasting of stock-based compensation expense and weighted average share calculations
• Preparing investor presentations and schedules supporting earnings releases
• Assisting in coordinating annual audits and quarterly reviews
• Performing technical accounting and financial reporting research and documenting conclusions
• Partnering with other departments throughout the company to review financial reporting processes and identify areas for continuous improvement
• Preparing ad hoc financial reports for senior management and investor relations
• Maintaining a strong internal control environment and effective disclosure controls and procedures

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
