Job Description:The Associate Financial Analyst will play an integral part in Abercrombie's external financial reporting process. The Associate Financial Analyst will also have direct exposure to the company's Assistant and Corporate Controller, as well as other business leaders throughout the organization. Natural career progression to other accounting and finance roles within the finance team is possible after proven success in the role.This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Preparing SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy), including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL taggingGather, organize and evaluate source documentation to ensure the accuracy of all public disclosures.Assist with the accounting and forecasting of stock-based compensation expense and weighted average share calculationsPreparing investor presentations and schedules supporting earnings releasesAssisting in coordinating annual audits and quarterly reviewsPerforming technical accounting and financial reporting research and documenting conclusionsPartnering with other departments throughout the company to review financial reporting processes and identify areas for continuous improvementPreparing ad hoc financial reports for senior management and investor relationsMaintaining a strong internal control environment and effective disclosure controls and proceduresWHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 1 year of accounting experience, public accounting experience preferredExcellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional partnersHigh attention to detail and a natural curiosity to dive into the “why” behind numbersAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentA self-starter mentality with an eagerness to take on new challengesCreative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented, and optimistic attitudeBenefits & PerksAs an Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
