Job summary

Sony Biotechnology Inc. is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer for a fixed-term (up to 12 months) to train with our flow cytometry service team in the New England and NY Metro regions. The role leads toward potential full-time Field Service Engineer I for top performers.

The position requires recent graduates with an engineering/life sciences background, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel. A valid driver’s license and US work authorization are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent college graduate within the past 6 months.
• Degree: 2-year Associate or 4-year Bachelor's (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Engineering, Biomedical, Electronics, Mechanical, Life Sciences or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong customer focus and professional communication.
• Highly organized with good follow-up.
• Travel readiness and valid driver's license; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Train with field service engineers at customer site visits.
• Assist with installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot flow cytometry instrumentation.
• Learn service procedures, safety standards, and documentation.
• Communicate product quality observations to the team.
• Travel to customer sites within assigned region.
• Enter hours and manage timesheets weekly.
