Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking an Associate Estimator in Saint Petersburg, FL. In this role, you will support accurate electrical estimates for multifamily and commercial projects within the Change Order department, collaborating with a regionally aligned estimating team.

You will conduct fixture counts, review blueprints, and define project scope with clients while negotiating pricing. A strong communicator with 1+ year estimating experience is preferred, with hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or 3–4 years electrical field experience.
• 1+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Excellent communicator with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a regionally aligned estimating team, providing direction.
• Research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing.
• Perform lighting fixture counts by reviewing plans and blueprints.
• Define project scope with customers, address deficiencies, and negotiate pricing.
• Collaborate with construction teams to transfer awarded projects.
