Power Design, Inc. seeks an Associate Estimator to support electrical estimates for multifamily and commercial projects within the Change Order department.

You’ll work with a regionally aligned team to gather scope and develop accurate, competitive pricing. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of electrical estimating experience or a Bachelor’s in construction management / engineering, plus strong communication, organization, and deadline-driven work style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-4 years of electrical field experience
• 1+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Motivated problem solver with a focus on customer service
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
• Excellent communicator who is organized, detail-oriented and efficient
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred)

About the Position

In this role, you’ll play a key part in Power Design’s growth by supporting accurate and comprehensive electrical estimates for multifamily and commercial projects within our Change Order department. Position Responsibilities

• Work with a regionally aligned estimating team, providing leadership, direction and training.


• Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete and competitive pricing.


• Conduct lighting fixture counts by reviewing construction plans and blueprints.


• Communicate with customers to properly define the project scope, address deficiencies and negotiate pricing.


• Partner with our construction teams to properly transfer awarded projects.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related degree is preferred or 3-4 years of electrical field experience.


• 1+ years of relevant electrical estimating experience.


• A motivated problem solver with a focus on customer service
