Job summary
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking an Associate Engineer at its Los Angeles Headquarters. You will develop and implement cathodic protection measures, perform on-site infrastructure assessments, and leverage GIS to support asset management programs.
Hybrid schedule with two in-person days per week and remote work; start times 6 AM to 6 PM. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience (two at Assistant Engineer II) or a Master’s with two years in related
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience, two years at Assistant Engineer II.
- Master’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience at Assistant Engineer II.
- Experience designing cathodic protection systems and corrosion control testing is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement cathodic protection measures.
- Collaborate with design engineers, operations personnel, and external agencies to ensure project execution and asset management.
- Perform on-site assessments of pipelines, water treatment facilities, and related water infrastructure to support asset management programs.
- Utilize an enterprise GIS to gather, manage, and analyze assessment data.
