Job summary
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California in La Verne, CA, is seeking an Associate Engineer to protect critical water infrastructure by designing and implementing cathodic protection measures.
You will perform on-site condition assessments of pipelines and treatment facilities, use enterprise GIS to manage data, and collaborate with design engineers, operations personnel, and external agencies to support asset management and project execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years of relevant experience, or Master's with two years at Associate Engineer II level.
- Relevant experience: designing cathodic protection systems and corrosion control testing.
- Certification/license requirements: valid California Class C Driver's License at time of application.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement cathodic protection measures.
- Collaborate with design engineers, operations personnel, and external agencies for project execution and asset management.
- Perform on-site assessments of pipelines and water treatment facilities to support asset management.
- Utilize enterprise GIS to gather, manage, and analyze assessment data.
