Job summary

Orange & Rockland Utilities seeks an Electrical Engineer in the Performance and Operational Engineering group to support reliability analyses and system evaluations. You will assist Electric Operations, Electrical Engineering, and the Control Center, helping improve safety, reliability, and maintainability of the electric delivery system.

Under supervision, you will review outage data, update historical databases, and participate in regulatory and industry meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least one year of full-time or internship experience.
Well organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple deadlines.
Strong written and oral communication skills with customers and management.
Proficiency in Windows environments and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to collaborate with other departments and support staff.

Responsibilities

Promotes a positive work ethic aligned with corporate values and safety.
Supports engineers in analyses and reliability studies.
Reviews outage data daily for accuracy and completeness.
Updates outage historical database and ensures data integrity.
Represents the company at internal reliability meetings and industry/regulatory forums.
Provides electric system delivery analysis for Distribution Engineering and Control Center.
Monitors and reports reliability performance metrics and participates in emergency management.
