Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York seeks an engineer to support electric reliability analyses under supervision. You will review outage data daily, update databases, and assist in regulatory meetings while coordinating with various teams to improve safety and maintainability of the electric delivery system.

The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work across departments, including representation at industry forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least one year of full-time or internship experience (or at least six months of cooperative or summer internship preferably in Con Edison/O&R).
• Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with customers, support staff, and management.
• Must have strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills; able to coordinate with other departments.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and reliability by supporting engineers in electric reliability analyses.
• Reviews incoming outage data daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Updates outage historical database and maintains data integrity.
• Represents the company at internal reliability meetings and at industry/regulatory meetings.
• Assists in the development of procedures and documentation.
