Job summary

WeaveGrid seeks an Associate Director, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships to develop new utility relationships and build partnerships with automakers, EV charging companies, battery providers, and other distributed energy players.

Reporting to the VP of Market Development & Partnerships, this senior individual contributor will own a focused portfolio of high-priority opportunities, identify and qualify deals, negotiate terms, and drive launches and revenue with complex enterprise

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience in enterprise business development or related field.
Experience originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex B2B opportunities.
Strong commercial thinker translating market dynamics into a business case.
Sound judgment for long and ambiguous deal cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment while collaborating.

Responsibilities

Own a prioritized portfolio of utility accounts from engagement through contract signature.
Develop relationships with utility executives across transportation electrification and grid ops.
Lead consultative discovery to understand priorities, regulatory context, and procurement pathways.
Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and bid defenses for complex opportunities.
Maintain ongoing ownership of partnerships after signature with cross-functional teams.
