Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of progressively responsible experience in a student union/center.
• Master’s degree in higher education, communication, leadership, or related field and six years of experience (preferred).
• Doctoral degree and four years of experience (preferred).
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced mazevo/EMS skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience supervising and training student employees and managing event staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Reservations and Information Desk operations, including policies and scheduling.
• Oversee complex scheduling, budget planning, and high-profile campus events.
• Lead the ESPN network to coordinate event planners across campus and ensure safety and service quality.
• Supervise staff, graduate assistants, and student employees; hire/train/evaluate 10–16 students.
• Develop and implement training, handbooks, and performance feedback for UC staff and student workers.
• Coordinate with partners (IT, facilities, health and safety) for event services and staffing.
