Bateman Civil Survey Company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Associate Director to oversee all survey operations in the Charlotte office, guiding field crews and office staff, ensuring quality control, and driving departmental growth across boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA/NSPS, and utility surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in surveying with leadership or management experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and surveying workflows.
• Knowledge of ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, construction staking, and regulatory standards.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and client communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Charlotte office survey operations, field and office staff performance.
• Ensure quality control and consistency across survey deliverables.
• Manage project lifecycles from proposal through completion, including budgeting.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and assist in client negotiations.
• Lead training programs for field crews and CAD staff.
• Drive business development to grow the Charlotte market.
