Job summary

Bateman Civil Survey seeks an Associate Director for its Myrtle Beach office to oversee field and office survey operations, mentor staff, and drive growth. You’ll ensure quality control across boundary, topographic, construction staking, ALTA and utility surveys, while aligning with company standards.

The role focuses on scaling operations, maintaining technical excellence, and guiding projects from proposal through completion in a fast-paced market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive surveying experience with leadership or management roles.
• Strong knowledge of field and office survey operations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• South Carolina PLS preferred or able to obtain.
• Leadership and team development across field and office environments.
• Knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction staking, ALTA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 60–70% billable utilization while balancing leadership duties.
• Oversee Myrtle Beach office survey operations, field and office production.
• Ensure quality control and consistency across survey deliverables.
• Manage project lifecycles from proposal to completion, including budgeting and client communication.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and assist in negotiations with clients.
• Monitor project budgets, billing, and profitability.
• Develop SOPs for field and office workflows and lead training programs.
• Support business development and growth of the Myrtle Beach market.
