Job summary

Verizon is seeking a senior software engineer to own full-stack development across frontend and backend, focusing on AEM, React, Node, and data platforms. The role emphasizes building scalable, real-time processing pipelines and guiding a cross-functional team in a hybrid work model in Irving, TX.

You will collaborate with CXO stakeholders to define roadmaps for case management, personalization, and platform capabilities, while ensuring security and compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6 years of progressive software engineering experience with web technologies and data processing.
• Experience creating responsive web pages and content as services using AEM, React JS, Node JS, jQuery and JavaScript.
• 5 years using Kafka, HBase, Hive, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Scala on Spark, real-time data processing, ETL and data modeling.
• 4 years in cloud-native technologies and service deployment using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hybrid role with ability to work from home.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development from prototype to UI and data layer.
• Direct project delivery and lifecycle deployment with decision authority.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities.
• Ensure standards, security, and risk management compliance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team.
• Define roadmaps and capabilities for case management and personalization.
• Partner with CXO and GTS leaders to enable platform capabilities.
