Job summary

Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity seeks an Associate Director to help run the Foundations Family Shelter, a 24/7 facility for 8 to 10 families with children experiencing homelessness.

You will supervise Housing Advocates, Interns, Volunteers and special projects, provide leadership in the Program Director’s absence, and ensure staff follow housing/case management plans to move families into permanent housing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social/human services.
• Strong supervisory, management and training abilities.
• Experience with homelessness programs and housing policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Foundations Family Shelter and supervise Housing Advocates, Interns, Volunteers and special projects.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Program Director and ensure policy adherence.
• Ensure housing and case management plans move families toward permanent housing.
