Job summary

University of California, Merced is seeking an Associate Director of Residence Education for Resident Life & Conduct Response to enhance the on-campus living experience. You will supervise a team of live-on coordinators, oversee student conduct processes, and partner across campus to uphold equitable policies and ensure safety and wellbeing for students.

The role requires collaborative leadership, program development, and on-call rotation duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (Required).
• Master's degree in related field (Preferred).
• 3 years of directly related full-time experience in a live-on housing role in postsecondary education setting or equivalent experience (Required).
• 5 years of full-time experience in other areas of student affairs, education, community development, or related field (Preferred).
• 2 years of experience supervising professional staff (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with the tracking and enhancement of administrative policies and procedures carried out within the Residence Education department.
• Create and maintain strong working relationships with campus partners within and outside of the Division of Student Affairs.
• Represent the Residence Education department in campus-wide and system-wide meetings and discussions.
• Collaborate to support room changes, work orders, mail, and other administrative processes carried out by the Residence Education department.
• Provide financial, conduct, and other ad-hoc reports to the Director of Residence Education and Executive Director of Campus Life.
