Job summary

Alkermes seeks an Associate Director, Regional Accounts to lead payer strategies and access initiatives across targeted regional plans and providers. The role collaborates with sales, policy, and medical teams to secure coverage and minimize access barriers for Alkermes products.

The candidate will drive reimbursement discussions with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial plans, and IDNs, while navigating regulatory guidelines and ensuring consistent messaging across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience; specialty background preferred.
• Driver’s license must be in good standing.
• Must be able to demonstrate or secure appropriate credentialing, as may be required by healthcare providers for physical access to their facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute public sector and managed care payer strategies for targeted regional plans to secure coverage for newly marketed products, minimize barriers to access, solve reimbursement issues, and support sales for Alkermes marketed products.
• Work closely with Sales leadership, field sales representatives, Key Account Managers, Medical Science Liaisons and Policy partners to educate health care participants on reimbursement of Alkermes marketed products.
• Support access to Alkermes marketed products within integrated healthcare delivery systems.
• Conduct outreach to and network with state/local provider, patient and healthcare systems advocacy organizations.
• Develop and execute regional plans to secure access and reimbursement for new products and changes as needed.
• Work with assigned regional payers to secure reimbursement for Alkermes marketed products.
