Job summary

RTX is seeking an Associate Director, Program Management for a hybrid, on-site role in the United States with relocation available. The position leads program cost, schedule, and technical performance across major defense projects and requires an active security clearance.

The role oversees life cycle management, capital investment, and affordability initiatives, coordinating with senior leadership to shape strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 12 years in program/project management.
• Advanced degree in a related field with minimum 10 years experience.
• Experience leading production programs and/or complex development programs with parallel active production.
• Experience with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for large scale programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable leader for program cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Ensure compliance with defense cost accounting standards (CAS), EVMS, and FAR/DFARS provisions.
• Drive disciplined program execution through risk management, schedule analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Manage resource planning and internal capacity alignment with strategic priorities.
• Coordinate with Capacity Growth Office, Functional stakeholders and Programs to align interactions and dependencies.
• Develop strategies to scale existing production lines for upcoming demand and configuration updates.
• Establish program governance, dashboards, schedules, and enterprise-level reporting.
• Actively manage risk, opportunities, cost, quality, and schedule performance.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Travel domestically as needed.
