SLC Management, a Sun Life subsidiary, seeks an Associate Director for Private Fixed Income to join the Corporate Private Placement team in Wellesley, MA. You will contribute to investment-grade private debt portfolios and support underwriting, monitoring, and relationship management.

The role emphasizes strong financial analysis, leadership, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a hybrid office/remote setting. A CFA path and solid debt market knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-5 years of relevant post-undergraduate work experience.
• Progress towards, or completion of CFA designation is a plus.
• Strong written skills demonstrated by professional experience.
• Investment and accounting proficiency demonstrated by professional experience.
• Understanding of debt and equity market fundamentals and instruments.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and compute financial ratios.

Responsibilities

• Originate new investment opportunities in the investment-grade market, focusing on corporate private placement transactions.
• Prepare detailed investment memos with credit underwriting, financial modeling and analysis.
• Develop detailed annual reviews, financial analyses, models and amortization schedules.
• Perform credit rating analysis via peer comparables and risk-scorecards.
• Prepare management reports on portfolio status and performance.
• Evaluate investments through company/industry research, credit/relative value analysis, due diligence.
• Negotiate deal terms and legal documentation on behalf of clients.
