Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks an Associate Director of Access & Affordability for US Ophthalmology. You will design, implement, and optimize patient affordability programs, including hub services, reimbursement support, copay programs, and related solutions.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, define success metrics, and partner with Compliance, Legal, and Field teams to deliver scalable access programs that reduce barriers to therapy and improve patient experience across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BA/BS). MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience designing and leading patient affordability and access programs.
• Ability to translate clinical and payer strategies into access programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of access and affordability strategy for US Ophthalmology portfolio.
• Own end‑to‑end design and go‑to‑market of these programs with cross‑functional teams.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and data‑driven insights to optimize performance.
• Plan patient support for launches and major indication expansions.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
