Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director, Oncology Field Reimbursement to lead a regional team delivering compliant access and affordability support for oncology products. You will hire, onboard, coach, and develop FRMs, translating portfolio strategy into effective regional execution across multiple accounts.

You’ll partner with Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, Brand, Training, Analytics, and Legal to drive launch readiness and performance while ensuring compliance with AbbVie policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in field reimbursement, market access, or related healthcare role.
• 3+ years leading field-based teams; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a regional Oncology FRM team to drive portfolio access.
• Build and onboard a portfolio-ready team with role clarity and development plans.
• Set expectations for field execution, engagement, and compliant resource use.
• Coach FRMs via field travel, ride-alongs, and business reviews.
• Educate HCP staff on coverage, coding, billing, and affordability support.
• Translate portfolio strategy into regional execution plans and launches.
• Partner cross-functionally to define training, tools, and workflows.
• Monitor activity, capacity, and performance through analytics and reviews.
• Engage key accounts to resolve complex reimbursement challenges.
• Capture insights on payer policies and launch risks for improvement.
