Description
- Directs departmental operations and budgets, strategic planningand growth, policy and procedure development, manage affiliationsand contracts and supervises all learning abroad staff members,student workers, and operations.
- Serves on the IGE leadership team to promote the university'sglobalization goals and enrollment targets in collaboration withcolleges, centers, departments, and curriculum into other academicand non-academic experiences.
- Oversees faculty-led program development to include but notlimited to; program proposals to approvals, facilitatingfaculty-led workshops, supporting faculty on program development,student recruitment, scholarship opportunities, administrativeprocedures, marketing support and risk procedures.
- Supervises all Learning Abroad staff members and studentworkers, office budgets for operations, fees and scholarshipfunds.
- Coordinates assessment for all learning abroad programs eachsemester including question creation, layout, distribution and dataevaluation for final reports.
- Utilizes Terra Dotta for traveler registration, applicationapprovals, troubleshooting and collaborating on software needs,updates and opportunities for use.
- Oversees administration of scholarships in Learning Abroad,including strategic development, recruitment, advising strategies,communications and semester workshops.
- Partners with other university departments to support otherinternational scholarship recruitment efforts.
- Cultivates partnership, affiliation and exchange partneragreements as well as faculty led logistics providerpartnerships.
- Oversees risk management and the health, safety, and welfareprocess for all Learning Abroad programs.
- Facilitates partnership contract approval processes for programproviders, insurance, national and international organizations, CRMand other partners.
- Generates reports for annual university reportingrequirements.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years ofdirectly job-related experience.
- Department is willing to accept education in lieu ofexperience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in a second language
- Experience working in international education
- Supervision experience
- Master's Degree
