The role oversees staff, budgets, and program administration, including grant management, reporting, and policy development, to ensure progress toward objectives and successful collaboration across university units.

Qualifications

  • Requires a formal 4-year degree in a relevant analytical, technical or professional discipline or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and administers methods and procedures to meet program objectives; directs daily activities of staff.
  • Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures expenditures stay within allocation.
  • Directs activities to carry out program objectives and coordinates with staff or subordinates.
  • Prepares and reviews progress reports and records; adjusts methodologies to achieve goals.
  • Analyzes trends to stay informed about program information and changes.
  • Formulates and maintains policies and procedures for program administration.
  • Manages grants for the program, including meetings, coordination, scholarships and other operations.
  • Prepares proposals to obtain grants from state, federal, and private sponsors.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Description

Directs an ongoing university program to ensure that prescribedactivities are carried out in accordance with its mission and/orspecified objectives. Prepares short- and long-term goals andobjectives.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies andprocedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees thedaily activities of staff members.
  • 2. Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures thatexpenditures are within budget allocation.
  • 3. Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinatepersonnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives ofthe program.
  • 4. Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records ofactivities to ensure progress is being accomplished towardspecified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology asrequired to redirect activities and attains objectives.
  • 5. Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expertawareness of program information and change needs.
  • 6. Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies andprocedures concerning program administration.
  • 7. Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings,communication coordination, scholarships and otheroperations.
  • 8. May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals toobtain grants from state and federal agencies, and privatefoundation sponsors.
  • 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed.

Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directlyjob-related experience.

Program Leadership

Leads programmatic development of Volunteer Engagement andInitiatives for the University in partnership with Leadership.Contributes to the success of the volunteer engagement team byregularly brainstorming, developing, and executing programmaticopportunities aimed at engaging executives, thought leaders anddonors in support of the priorities and goals of the unit.

Volunteer Engagement Responsibilities
  • 1.Leads and partners in the creation and execution of innovativevolunteer engagement opportunities whichalign with advancement anduniversity priorities.
  • 2.Manages a portfolio of internal and external relationshipsserving as a point of contact for executivevolunteers andcommittees providing a high level of donor-first service.
  • 3.Partners with Development colleagues to implement volunteerparticipation strategies as a direct componentof philanthropicgiving for University Advancement.
  • 4.Provides insight, tools and guidance coaching on best practicesand protocols for successful volunteeropportunities and engagementwith key collaborators.
  • 5.Serves as a front-line ambassador and University representativefor volunteers, partners, and collaboratorsfor assignedboard.
  • 6.Identifies opportunities and utilizes knowledge to support andenhance leadership volunteer recognition.
  • 7.Performs other job-related duties as required.
