Overview

The University of Rhode Island Foundation (URIF) seeks a talented and experienced Human Resources Associate Director to join our team. The Associate Director of Human Resources will develop and implement HR strategies and be a consultant and trusted advisor to URIF leadership. The ideal candidate should have five to seven years of HR experience with demonstrated success in talent management, including recruitment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and professional development training. This position reports to the Executive Director of Legal and Human Resources.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle recruitment process for all positions, including management and senior leaders.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, including reviewing company policies, benefits, and training programs.
  • Provide guidance and training to hiring managers on best practices for recruitment and hiring, diversity and inclusion, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
