Job summary

Another A Story is seeking an Associate Director of Experiential + Client Experience in Los Angeles or New York. This hands-on, client-facing role sits at the center of the new business team, shaping briefs, crafting proposals, and leading strategic thinking with the Creative & Production groups.

The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on writing and execution, collaborating with US VP Client + Business to drive growth and deliver luxury brand experiences for iconic clients.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of event industry experience in lifestyle, beauty + luxury sector.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale experiential productions and multi-market activations.
  • Experience managing individual budgets ranging in excess of $2m.
  • Agency experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and grow client relations, contributing to year over year growth + KPIs.
  • 4+ years’ experience leading and overseeing producers across productions, providing a balance of autonomy and support.
  • An executive mindset comfortable working in the trenches while inspiring others.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Office based role 4 days per week, 1 day work from home (3 days per week in office after probation).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the Experiential Coordinator, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and continued growth.
  • Lead the development and delivery of design-first experiential and luxury events, aligned with client objectives and agency standards.
  • Translate creative ambition and brand strategy into clear executable production frameworks.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the creative and production teams translating client brief objectives.
  • Champion the agency’s global creative vision while adapting strategies to regional nuance across US.
  • Support the strategic growth of the agency’s regional footprint and worldwide reach.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring and nurturing talent across the team.
  • Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation within the experiential and production departments.
  • Contribute to new business development through strategic responses to briefs, RFPs, and pitch opportunities.
  • Oversee the full RFP lifecycle from initial brief and strategic development through presentation, award, and transition to the production team.
  • Provide rigorous and ongoing accountability back to client briefs throughout the RFP process, ensuring teams meet benchmarks.
  • Translate client conversations into clear internal briefs for creative and production teams.
  • Collaborate with production and creative teams to develop innovative concepts and compelling event narratives, ensuring deliverables are realistic and on budget.
  • Coordinate with external strategy or creative partners when needed, while still owning the final output.
  • Maintain rigorous financial oversight, developing budgets that ensure profitability and accountability across all pitch proposals.
  • Champion the consistent use and optimization of internal project management systems and processes across the team.
  • Implement best practices in RFP management, continuously improving processes and outcomes.
  • Support and lead client presentations.
  • Stay involved at a senior level once the project is awarded, especially during creative and production handover.
  • Drafting and issuing of scope of work.
  • Follow up with clients after pitches and events to support relationship-building and future opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the senior point of contact ensuring clients feel supported, informed and inspired.
  • Translate client ambitions into thoughtful experiential strategies that deliver impact and brand resonance.

Job Title: Associate Director of ExperienCal + Client Experience – Los Angeles or New York

Repor-ng Into: US VP Client + Business

This a hands on role siYng at the centre of the new business team, working closely with CreaCve & ProducCon. The Associate Director is responsible for bringing together CreaCve & ProducCon teams developing client responses, pitch naraCves, creaCve strategies, and presentaCons – not simply overseeing the process. They will personally shape the agency’s response to briefs, partnering closely with creaCve and producCon to build compelling, insight-led proposals that win business.

This is a highly dynamic, client-facing posiCon. Alongside the VP, Client & Business, they will oQen be the first point of contact for brands, leading discovery calls, presenCng strategic thinking, and building strong client relaConships. They must be a confident presenter, high-energy communicator, and natural storeyteller.

The ideal candidate is strategic enough to lead a pitch, yest hands on enough to write, develop and refine the work themselves.

Leadership and Strategy
  • Lead, manage and develop the ExperienCal Coordinator, ensuring strong execuCon, accountability, and conCnued
