Job summary

Biogen is seeking an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison for Nephrology. The role serves as the primary commercial liaison to KMEs, transplant centers, and nephrology stakeholders across the geography, driving advocacy, account readiness, and insights for strategic planning.

You will collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, market access, and sales leadership to inform commercial strategy and launch readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of marketing, field sales, field marketing or Thought Leader Liaison experience.
• Rare Disease and/or nephrology field-based experience required.
• Strong strategic thinking and collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent listening, insight-generation, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel 60–70%.

Responsibilities

• Account Development & Readiness.
• Gather insights to inform the marketing strategy and commercial content for current and future disease states.
• Create regional commercial plans to move key accounts through the adoption continuum, collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Gather insights regarding account practices and stakeholder perspectives and share with internal teams.
• Identify opportunities and barriers affecting account adoption, patient access and advocacy development.
• Engage KMEs and advocacy programs; lead advisory boards and educational initiatives.
• Support speaker engagement activities and post-congress insights with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing, medical, sales, and compliance to ensure compliant customer engagement strategies.
