Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Associate Director for Manufacturing Processes focused on high-temperature coatings. You will serve as the technical expert for coating processes, lead material approvals, and drive advances across multiple facilities.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to commercialize innovations. The role requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in advanced coating manufacturing and materials engineering.
• Proven track record deploying new material and coating technologies into production environments.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional team management and project execution.
• Background in aerospace propulsion, gas turbines, or high-temperature industrial applications; travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for high-temperature coating manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Lead qualification and approval of materials, processes, suppliers and methods while ensuring quality compliance.
• Drive implementation of new initiatives, process transfers and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.
• Establish and standardize technical standards, engineering methodologies and best practices.
• Manage, mentor and develop engineers and technicians through training and teamwork.
• Foster collaboration across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to advance coating technologies.
