Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy seeks an Associate Director / Director, Interconnection Execution, to lead all interconnection activities for late-stage solar and storage projects. You will ensure IA continuity through COD, coordinate with utilities, ISOs, and consultants, and drive on-schedule, on-budget project delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in grid interconnection, strong regulatory knowledge, and hands-on project management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in grid interconnection, utility project management, or transmission compliance.
• Direct hands-on Project Management experience managing GIA compliance obligations.
• Strong working knowledge of FERC LGIP/LGIA frameworks, OATT provisions, and ISO/RTO interconnection processes.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Executed IAs remain in effect through COD and monitor milestone status.
• Negotiate GIA amendments and Facility Construction Agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage external consultants to support compliance checklists and deliverables.
• Own milestone payments and coordinate with finance for disbursements.
• Maintain a centralized tracking system for post-IA obligations and report risks to leadership.
• Coordinate commissioning requirements with OEM, ISO, and EPC partners.
