Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy seeks a Senior Director to lead the project development team for solar and storage in the SPP and PJM markets. You will drive from front, possess deep market knowledge, and manage complex deals to closure.

The role requires hands-on development work and collaboration with Origination, Policy, Engineering and Structured Finance to secure revenue. You will work with EPC contractors and manage permitting and financing, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in energy project development across lifecycles.
• 4+ years developing energy in liquid markets.
• 4-year degree required; MBA or other master’s valued.
• Ability to synthesize complex risks and opportunities into actionable directions.
• Deep understanding of policy, regulatory and competitive dynamics that drive revenue and market access.
• Self-motivated with initiative, attention to detail and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the market strategy and drive the team goals.
• Collaborate with Origination, Policy, Engineering and Structured Finance to vet strategies.
• Drive project development across the full lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor team members in negotiation, analysis, risk assessment and business development.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources on structuring, negotiating and closing project transactions (land, interconnection, PPAs).
• Originate and manage due diligence on projects, sites and counterparties for acquisitions.
• Partner with Government Affairs to drive permitting outcomes and build the project/corporate brand.
• Analyze regulations and power economics by market to inform the business plan and strategy.
• Support EPC contracting and late-stage project sequencing; assist EPCM in construction.
