Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. is seeking an Associate Director to translate scientific evidence into clear medical communications for neuroscience assets.

You will shape content, plan congress activities, and collaborate across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and other partners to drive strategic engagement with healthcare professionals. You will apply AI-enabled tools, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage content development with an emphasis on accuracy, balance, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life science or healthcare discipline.
• 6–10 years in biopharmaceutical industry or related field.
• At least 3 years in medical communications or Medical Affairs within a global matrix.
• Strong knowledge of drug development, clinical data interpretation, and medical strategy.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements related to medical communications.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience applying artificial intelligence-enabled tools and digital technologies within scientific communications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute medical communication plans that align with medical strategy, evidence-generation activities, and healthcare professional engagement objectives.
• Lead scientific content development by creating and maintaining core communication materials, slide decks, FAQs, and other evidence-based resources.
• Plan and deliver congress activities by supporting scientific booth content, symposia, educational materials, and insight-gathering initiatives.
• Collaborate across functions to align priorities, timelines, and deliverables with global, regional, and local stakeholders.
• Conduct medical content reviews by partnering with Legal and Regulatory colleagues to support accurate, balanced, and compliant communications.
• Coordinate content development processes by preparing source materials, supporting content reuse, and identifying future content needs.
• Apply digital and AI-enabled technologies to enhance planning, content development, visualization, review processes, and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage execution and continuous improvement by monitoring key performance measures, managing vendors and timelines, identifying risks, and incorporating stakeholder insights into planning.
