Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director, Global HEOR to lead health economic and outcomes research activities. You will shape global HEOR strategies, build value propositions for market access, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet payer needs and inform launch decisions.

The role requires a PhD/ MPH-level background with 4+ years (or 6+ with MS) in HEOR, plus biotech/pharma experience and strong modeling/RWE expertise. Hybrid work in Lexington with ~25% travel is offered.

  • 4+ years HEOR with PhD, or 6+ years with Master’s.
  • Biotech/pharma/consulting or related life sciences experience.
  • Strong expertise in HEOR, economic modeling and real-world evidence.
  • Experience with global payer/reimbursement/HTA submissions and regulatory understanding.

Job description

Associate Director, Global HEOR
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global HEOR strategies/programs to support AMT-130 launch (USA and globally) and optimize market access.
  • Collaborate with partners to build patient-access-focused product value propositions.
  • Identify HEOR evidence needs/gaps; design and deliver HEOR/RWE studies and tools for relative value and differentiation.
  • Use RWD analytics to inform development and key business questions.
  • Lead regulatory-grade RWE studies; educate on RWE opportunities in Huntington’s disease.
  • Develop COA measurement strategies/plans to support labeling, access, and differentiation.
  • Support global HTA submissions; maintain understanding of payer/HTA processes.
  • Build and continuously improve health economic models; adapt models for global HTA price/reimbursement with market access teams.
  • Develop payer engagement materials (e.g., GVD, AMCP dossier, payer decks); support US payer engagements.
  • Deliver “launch-ready” US economic models ahead of market entry.
  • Ensure governance/approvals, manage vendors/projects, and deliver on time and quality within budgets.
  • Communicate and disseminate HEOR data/results; translate outputs into launch tools (e.g., value decks, field materials).
  • Evaluate payer/HTA decisions and apply learnings; drive evidence strategy pull-through.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Advanced degree required (PhD, PharmD, DrPH, ScD, MS, MPH) in Health Economics/Outcomes Research/Epidemiology/Public Health/Pharmacoeconomics or related.
  • 4+ years HEOR with PhD, or 6+ years with Master’s.
  • Biotech/pharma/consulting or related life sciences experience.
  • Strong expertise in HEOR, economic modeling, and real-world evidence.
  • Experience with global payer/reimbursement/HTA submissions; regulatory understanding (FDA/EMA).
  • Preferred: cost-effectiveness, budget impact, value assessment modeling.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate with scientific/clinical/commercial/market access stakeholders.
Location/Travel:

Hybrid (Lexington) with ~25% travel.
