Drexel University seeks an Associate Director, Education Abroad to provide leadership for the Education Abroad Advising team and support the strategic development, administration, and continuous improvement of education abroad programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Education Abroad, this position combines team supervision, student advising, operational oversight, and partnership management.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible higher education experience.
  • Preferred experience in education abroad or international education.
  • Ability to supervise staff and oversee advising operations.
  • Experience collaborating with campus and international partners.
  • Knowledge of education abroad processes, including transfer credit, financial aid, and pre-departure preparation.
  • Ability to support compliance with academic regulations and institutional procedures.
  • Willingness to participate in health, safety, and emergency response efforts.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

OVERVIEW The Associate Director, Education Abroad at Drexel University provides leadership for the Education Abroad Advising team and supports the strategic development, administration, and continuous improvement of education abroad programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Education Abroad, this position combines team supervision, student advising, operational oversight, and partnership management. The role also works closely with campus and international partners to strengthen the student experience and support successful global learning opportunities.
