Job summary

Drexel University seeks an Associate Director, Education Abroad to provide leadership for the Education Abroad Advising team and support the strategic development, administration, and continuous improvement of education abroad programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Education Abroad, this position combines team supervision, student advising, operational oversight, and partnership management.

The role also works closely with campus and international partners to strengthen the student

Qualifications

• Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible higher education experience.
• Preferred experience in education abroad or international education.
• Ability to supervise staff and oversee advising operations.
• Experience collaborating with campus and international partners.
• Knowledge of education abroad processes, including transfer credit, financial aid, and pre-departure preparation.
• Ability to support compliance with academic regulations and institutional procedures.
• Willingness to participate in health, safety, and emergency response efforts.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Education Abroad Advising team
• Supervise education abroad advisors and advising operations
• Support the strategic development and continuous improvement of education abroad programs
• Develop and improve policies, procedures, and operational processes
• Manage a portfolio of education abroad programs and partner relationships
• Collaborate with campus and international partners to enhance the student experience
• Advise students before, during, and after international experiences
• Support course approvals and transfer credit processes
• Assist students with financial aid and pre-departure
